ENRICH ME Aquatics took a team of 16 young swimmers from across four Cognita Schools to the Dubai International Aquatics Championship (DIAC), hosted at the prestigious Hamdan Sports Complex. Over the course of the three-day event, these dedicated swimmers competed in a total of 60 races, showing their commitment to the sport.

As ENRICH ME Aquatics’ first international level competition, World Aquatics approved, the Dubai International Aquatics Championship served as an invaluable platform for our swimmers to proudly represent their club. The swimmers showed all of their hard work from their regular training with over 90% personal best times improved, an amazing 9 finals appearances and 1 medal achieved.

Finalists:

  • Adeline Clute
  • Hannah de Waal
  • Sofia Kougioumtsidou (Bronze)
  • Ryan Beck

Development Coach, Ryan Waters said: “I am very proud of all of the swimmers who attended the DIAC. To even qualify for entry at this level is an achievement they should be proud of. Racing at competitions is vital for development and as it gives training focus for swimmers leading up to the competition and lots can be learned from racing. I was able to give invaluable feedback to swimmers pre and post race and carry this forward into training before our next major competition, which will hopefully result in even better performances and further improvements”
